Itâs Uruâs first Christmas, and it has to be perfect. Her entire life had been spent in captivity, her caregiver and maternal Uncle, Drake Fletcher, staged a rescue to save her and is now in his care. Drake had spent the last four months planning after she recovered from her devastating injuries. To make sure things would go as plan, he enlisted the help of his friend, Saint Isaac and company to help him make her first Christmas the best sheâll ever experience.Â

December 20th, 4011
Drake has sent uru and her friend Ellie into the guest living room to wait until he and his nephew Isaac bring the tree inside. Eventually, uruâs patiences runs thin and begins to whine. Stella is seen reading a book about Christmas and all of the fun it brings when she hears a long groan. âHow much looonger does he have to be?â Uru whines, slowly sliding off the sofa and onto the floor. âItâs been hours.â she shakes her head; her purple curls shake as she gets up to throw herself on the sofa.
Stella chuckled quietly, âItâs only been a few minutes, dear. Patience is a heavenly virtue you knowâ. She lightly pat the childâs head, not looking up from her book about Christmas customs and this strange ritual of putting up a tree in the house.
She huffs, wiggling herself between Stella and her book. âBut why do we have to stay here, Mama Stella.â she plops herself down in a dramatic sigh. âI canât go on any longer, I wanna see the tree.â
âWell your father said to wait here until the master living room was finished.â she reminds Uru with a soft smile, Stella set her book down on the end table and pulled her into her arms. âWell then I guess we need to find something to keep you entertained in the meantime, wonât we? So⌠what are you in the mood to do?â Uru lays her head down on Stella, she cards her fingers through Uruâs hair and begins humming a tune. Footsteps can be heard coming from the spiral staircase in the living room; Stella looks up to find one of the many children Drake had rescued from those horrid laboratories. Her big red eyes peer around the corner, a bit of her snowy hair falls in front of her face. âEllie, do you need anything?âÂ
Ellie walks out from the corner, her hair is a mess, she looks down. âUhm, I-I need help with my hair, Miss Stella.â she mumbles under her breath, hands fiddling with her dress.
âOh? Of course Ellieâ, Stella chimed happily. She scooped Uru up into her arms and approached the stairs, âIn fact, how about I get both of your hair all nice and pretty with flowers and braids, hm?â
âI have to wash my hair first!â Uru hops off of Stella and runs upstairs. Ellie walks up to her, her eyes are trained to the floor.
âI tried to do it myself.âÂ
âWell it looks lovely so farâ, she cooed softly as she knelt down to eye level with Ellie. âSo, what would you like to have done with your hair? Maybe a light brushing with some fancy braids? Or would you rather we add flowers?â
âYes please.â She slowly looks at Stella. âCan I have that pretty flower you made last time? With the pretty snowflakes that sparkled out of them.âÂ
"Of course sweetie." With a wave of her hand, the supplies to fix Ellie's hair appear beside her. "Come kneel down." Ellie slowly crept towards Stella before kneeling down. Stella grabs the comb and begins parting her hair. "Now you just tell me if I hurt you."Â
"Okay ma'am."Â
Stella slowly combs through Ellie's hair, focusing on the matted parts, humming '12 days of Christmas'. âAre you excited for your first Christmas, Ellie?â
âYeah, Mister Drake let us watch some movies. Do you think Santa would ever visit?â
She sprays a little bit of dry conditioner onto Elllieâs hair to loosen the knots. Her brows furrow at the question. âOf course, Why wouldnât he?â Ellie is quiet, rubbing her wrist anxiously. âYou and all of your friends and family have been extra good, I even heard mister Drake put in a few good words as well.â
âHe did?â She sounded surprised.
Stella moves forward and lightly boops Ellieâs nose. âYes, all parents have connections to Santa Claus.â she chirps. âI canât wait to join you all in the festivities. We donât have Christmas where I come from.â Stella chuckles, with a wave of her hand, summons a sparkly, white flower. âI canât wait to decorate the house, bake cookies and sing songs around the fire. All sounds fun.â She braids the flower into Ellieâs hair. âCan you tell me what youâre excited for?â
Ellie looks at Stella.âThe food. We were never allowed to eat a lot of food back at the bad place.â Footsteps can be heard thumping from the hallway.
âIâM READY!â Uru screams as she slides into the secondary living room, crashing onto the sofa. Uru and Ellie laugh as Stella finishes Ellieâs hair. âAre you alright, Uru?â She goes over to check up on Uru, who is still laughing.Â
âIâm fine, Mama Stella.â She pats the dirt off her red and green dress. âI can handle alot.â Uru pulls up her sleeves hiding her prosestchics. âLook! Papa made my arm shiny with lights.â Uru presses a button and her arm lights up with gold and white lights. Ellie looks in awe.
âPretty.â
âVery lovely, Uru. Your papa is very talented.â She pats Uruâs head. âNow, lets get that hair braided.â
âOh oh oh! Can we do that pretty braid you did when we met, please?â
Stella let out a quiet giggle, âOf course dear, go ahead and hop onto the couch and Iâll get your hair all startedâ.
âYou might want to put that on hold.âÂ
Drake waves at Stella. âI just finished putting up the tree so-â he couldnât finish his sentence as Uru and Ellie rushed past Drake towards the living room. Drake laughs lightly before turning to Stella. Have I ever thanked you enough for your help?âÂ
âNope, but you certainly donât have to eitherâ. She smiled at the man and brought a hand to her face, âYour elf costume is really cute, the red hat really brings out your lovely locksâ, she teased, âAnd thank you for getting that tree, was it much trouble? Your little Uru was becoming quite the impatient little thing.âÂ
âJust wait until Isaac sees his outfit.â Drake takes off his ears, scratching the back of his head. âWell, I'm saying it again. Youâve helped Uru out and I can't thank you enough. She's happier when you and Isaac visit and I couldnât be more thankful.â
âWell, tis the season to be thankful, right? Or⌠wait⌠is that the previous holiday we had back in Novemberâ, she chuckled, âI need to read up on these customs againâ, she joked back with a playful wink.
âI gave you a manual.â he lightly elbows her arm.
She wraps an arm around the man and leads him toward the living room, âYes, you did. And what a lovely read it is~ But really, Iâm happy to be of help, and Iâm grateful you welcome my son and I into your lovely home for this celebration. Thank you, Drakeâ.
âShall we go into the living room to show you the tree. My nephew and I cut it down ourselves.â he sticks his arm out. Stella wraps her arm around Drakeâs. The two of them head towards the master living room where they can hear Uru and Ellieâs awe.Â
*
Inside is a tall tree, standing 7ft tall. Stella gasp. âMy thats very big.'' she couldnât hold back a chuckle. âI gotta say, this is exciting.
âYeah, only the best for our family.â he clears his throat, turning to uru and Ellie. âNow, let's start decorating the tree, we have until tomorrow for Uncle Saint and Zucchini to return.â Uru cheers, eyes glowing yellow as she jumps around Drake, stuff begins to float around her.Â
